Ace, the one-eyed feline, is a big fan of socializing with humans. However, it wasn’t until his family decided to review their security footage that they discovered Ace had a special companion – a young admirer from the nearby area who frequently visits to hang out with him.
Norma Maikovich welcomed Ace and Ramsey into their forever home as kittens, after her husband informed her of their special needs. The two feline brothers, born to a stray cat and found in a dumpster, lost their eyes due to their difficult life outdoors. With Ace being able to see just fine with one eye and Ramsey being partially blind, they are inseparable. Norma believes that Ace and Ramsey were always meant to be together, as they complete each other – one with his left eye and the other with his right. The only time they are apart is when Ace goes out to explore the front porch.

Ace is a fearless and adventurous cat who rules his domain, the driveway, with confidence. He loves lounging in the sun on the front porch, observing the world around him. Despite only having one eye, Ace can be misunderstood by strangers who are initially hesitant to approach him. However, once they do, they realize how gentle and friendly he truly is.
Recently, the family became aware that Ace had become somewhat of a local celebrity, as neighbors seemed to know him well. Curious about his newfound fame, they decided to review their security footage in hopes of uncovering the reason behind Ace’s popularity.
Norma Maikovich shared with Love Meow that Ace is a real people person – he’s always eager to greet the mailman, delivery person, and all the neighbors. Ace seems to have quite a fan following, as he gets a lot of visitors. While watching the footage, Norma and her family noticed a boy who visits almost every day. They were touched by how much Ace adored the boy, and how close they seemed despite being so young.
When the neighbor kid comes over, Ace excitedly welcomes him with open paws. He loves hanging out with his buddy so much that he flops on his side, asking for some belly rubs. The two pals enjoy each other’s company, often seen sitting close like true best friends. Norma Maikovich, Ace’s owner, expresses her joy at seeing the bond between them, saying that Ace’s friend is welcome to visit anytime. She shared with Love Meow how happy it makes her to see them getting along so well. Ace is a friendly and affectionate cat who will happily purr for anyone who crosses his path.
Norma Maikovich shared with Love Meow the uncertainty she felt when she first adopted Ace and Ramsey, unsure of what their future would hold. However, after six years and witnessing the bond between Ace and his companion, she now firmly believes that animals with special needs deserve love, family, and a chance at life just as much as any other pet.
