JoJo and KC, two closely bonded felines, were discovered abandoned in an apartment and were later rescued by Animal Control. Upon their arrival at Exploits Valley SPCA, both cats displayed signs of fear and withdrawal following their harrowing experience.

“It’s been a tough road for these two, and now they struggle to trust humans,” shared Exploits Valley SPCA. As the shelter quieted down during off-hours, the inseparable brothers gradually began to acclimate and explore their new surroundings.

Their main source of anxiety stemmed from the bustling activity and noise within the shelter, causing them to retreat and hide from others.

“They feel out of place in the bustling shelter, often going unnoticed as they cuddle up on top of their cages. Surrounded by friendly, energetic cats and kittens who eagerly jump into people’s arms, KC and JoJo struggle to get attention. KC is shy while JoJo is more brave, approaching staff and volunteers when things quiet down. He isn’t afraid to cozy up in someone’s lap and start purring.”

JoJo, a lovable furball at Exploits Valley SPCA, may not immediately warm up to you like a cuddly puppy, but that doesn’t mean he won’t shower you with love eventually. According to the shelter, JoJo and his shy companion are gentle souls who prefer to snuggle in a quiet corner rather than seek attention from others. So, give these sweet boys some time, and they will surely steal your heart with their affectionate ways.

The two feline brothers were in search of a family willing to earn their trust and demonstrate the meaning of love to them. “They needed a truly special person to transform their lives with a little time and dedication.”
KC and JoJo struggled to find a suitable adopter, month after month. Finally, after waiting for over six months, a woman named Sacha discovered the introverted brothers and knew she had to get to know them.

They spent more than six months searching for their perfect home, waiting patiently for the right family to come along. Sacha decided to help her parents find a pair of cats to adopt and reached out to Exploits Valley SPCA. Upon learning about KC and JoJo, who had been at the shelter the longest and were in need of extra care and attention, Sacha knew she had to meet them.

The following day, she went to visit the shelter and wasted no time in asking to see the two brothers.

Upon walking into the Exploits Valley SPCA, Sacha was greeted with staff who expressed their fear of one particular cat – KC. Despite their warning, Sacha couldn’t shake off the thought of KC and his brother, JoJo, who both found solace in hiding away. Unable to forget about them, Sacha quickly made the decision to adopt both brothers, never looking back.

KC and JoJo were adopted at the same time by Sacha.
The next day, she returned to bring the bonded brothers to their new home. “After a month of living there, the boys are finally starting to show their true personalities.”
KC and JoJo are beginning to come out of their shells and settling into their new surroundings.

“JoJo will saunter up to your hand seeking some affection, and once he’s settled in, he’ll happily flop over for a belly rub. KC may not actively seek out love, but once he’s shown affection, he’ll gladly accept it.
“In the mornings, as my mom is preparing for work, the boys will patiently wait outside her bedroom door for their breakfast. And when dad is cooking, they eagerly anticipate getting a little taste too.”

The bond between the two siblings is growing stronger with each passing day. They are constantly seen snuggled up together, like two peas in a pod.
After being unnoticed for almost a year due to their shyness, KC and JoJo are really coming into their own. “We’re thrilled that the brothers are finally getting their well-deserved happy ending together.”

KC attempted to communicate with a meow. Sacha. Spread the word about this tale to your pals.
