A batch of five kittens from two different litters arrived at their foster home in search of a fresh start. Fred and Barney were discovered outside alongside their neglectful mother. Betty, Pebbles, and Bamm-Bamm were brought over from a partner animal shelter.
Their foster parent, Asa from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, set up a cozy spot for them with plenty of blankets and toys. Before long, they were chowing down like pros, playing around, wrestling with each other, and eventually collapsing into a deep snooze.
The arrival of these new furry friends caught the attention of the household canine, who was ecstatic about the new additions.
BammBamm, Betty, and Pebbles (a tabby cat) are the new foster pets in the household of Kona, a dog who absolutely adores kittens. Kona’s excitement knows no bounds whenever there are new furry additions to the family. Throughout the years, Kona has played a vital role in nurturing numerous kittens, drawing them out of their shells with her overflowing affection. She was initially rescued with her own litter of puppies but has since found her forever home with her beloved owner, Asa.
Fred and Barney, aka @shibuyarollcall, have a special love for caring for kittens in need. Kona, their devoted motherly figure, can never have her nest empty – she believes the more, the merrier! Despite the two litters needing medical clearance before mingling, Kona is always ready to step in and offer her unconditional motherly affection.
Kona wasted no time in sprucing up their faces, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the little ones. As she trotted around her playpen, her tail wagged furiously, resembling a helicopter propeller in motion. Asa told Love Meow, “She couldn’t wait to meet them as soon as they got here.”
A few days later, Kona finally got to officially meet the kittens. The excitement was palpable as one of the little ones, Betty, climbed on her back for a joyous ride, leaving Kona over the moon with happiness.
Upon meeting Kona, Betty wasted no time in using her as a jungle gym. It didn’t take long for Pebbles to join in on the fun, with both kittens happily climbing all over their new furry friend. They played with Kona’s legs, floppy ears, and wagging tail before snuggling up for a nap together. It was clear that they had already formed a special bond.
Pebbles loves her dog mom, Kona, so much! At first, Bamm-Bamm was a little timid, but Kona’s irresistible charm won him over in no time. He ended up shadowing her, trying to win her affection. When it was time to introduce Kona to Fred and Barney, Fred immediately gravitated towards her as if she were his own mother. Barney, on the other hand, was a bit hesitant at first, but soon enough, he was lounging with Kona in a cozy cat bed.
Kona adores snuggling up in her cozy cat bed with her kittens, giving them all the love and attention they need. Recently, the two batches of kittens merged into one big happy family. They enjoyed exploring their playpen and bonding before snuggling up with Kona, who lovingly groomed them all.
